The Western Electrical EVF series is a high-performance deep-cycle gel battery line, purpose-built for electric vehicles that demand larger capacity and heavier cycling duty than conventional lead-acid batteries - from sightseeing cars and floor scrubbers to warehouse and light electric vehicles.

The EVF electric vehicle battery is a sealed, valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery with gelled electrolyte. Embedding the electrolyte in gel prevents acid leakage and eliminates stratification, while gas recombination technology keeps service life unaffected by water loss. Combined with minimal self-discharge, this sealed design allows EVF batteries to be stored for substantially longer periods than standard lead-acid batteries.
