Quality Control
For Western Electrical, qualified products and services are the key to surviving in the highly competitive battery industry. For more than 20 years, we have upheld this belief without wavering - continuously raising our quality standards to drive the ongoing development of the company.
Our relentless pursuit of quality excellence is evident in every facet of our operations, especially in the meticulous quality control system managed by our QC department. Through decades of strategic investment, continuous improvement, and a steadfast commitment to quality assurance, we have consistently exceeded industry benchmarks. A representative achievement is our battery defect rate of just 0.255‰ - significantly better than the industry standard of 1‰. This remarkable result reflects our unwavering commitment to precision and excellence in every battery we deliver.
Our key strategies for effective quality control consist of the following:
1. Establish Clear Quality Standards
We define and communicate specific quality criteria for each product line and service, provide ongoing training to equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge, and ensure that all team members understand and keep these standards in mind.
2. Prioritize Safety Performance
From traditional lead acid batteries to the latest lithium-ion types, product safety - throughout production, transportation, and usage - is always our primary concern. By setting strict standards for reliability and safety performance limits, and by prioritizing safety at every stage of the manufacturing process, we ensure that all our batteries meet the highest safety standards.
3. Invest in an Expert Team and Skilled Staff
The QC Department is staffed by a dedicated team of professionals, equipped with the expertise and resources to uphold the highest quality assurance standards.
A. Skilled Management Team: Over 15 technicians, including 5 senior engineers with more than 25 years of experience in the battery industry, ensure the effective implementation of stringent quality control measures.
B. Thorough Inspection Capability: Each production line is staffed with two diligent inspectors who conduct comprehensive inspections to uphold product integrity and compliance with quality standards.
C. Continuous Training and Development: We prioritize the ongoing training and development of our employees. New hires undergo induction training, while existing employees receive regular assessments to maintain their qualifications. Key positions require approval from senior management before assuming duties.
4. Enforce Strict Raw Material Quality Control
We regard our suppliers as essential partners in the quality control process and work closely with them to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials. Through ongoing dialogue, quality assessments, and routine checks by our expert teams - covering everything from raw materials to auxiliary materials — we ensure that all materials meet our stringent standards.
5. Optimize Manufacturing Processes
We continuously optimize our manufacturing processes to improve quality and output efficiency. Through significant investment in key processes and careful resource allocation, we ensure stability and consistency. From casting and welding to acid filling and charging, we have introduced the latest digital monitoring and alarm systems to minimize defects, enhance product consistency, and mitigate quality risks and fluctuations caused by human factors.
6. Operate an On-Site Test and Analysis System
We have established a unique on-site test and analysis system to promptly identify and analyze defective products, determine the root cause, and drive timely improvement.
The system is operated by QC and technical staff, who conduct rotational testing and analysis of defective products every production day and issue an Anatomical Analysis of Defective Products report to the production manager on duty. Each report identifies whether defects stem from human operation, tooling or equipment, materials, processes, or design - clearly defining the direction of improvement to safeguard product quality.
7. Strengthen Packing Process Control
As the final stage before delivery, packing receives additional scrutiny. When a battery enters the packing process, we further strengthen inspection of its sealing condition (acid leakage prevention) and conduct conductivity tests to confirm sound power performance. To guarantee perfectly qualified packaging, each packing line has a dedicated inspector performing appearance checks, ensuring every battery is properly packed for safe transportation.
8. Maintain a Feedback and Traceability System
We highly value customer feedback and treat it as an important part of our quality control process. For this reason, we have built a dedicated Customer Feedback and Traceability System, ensuring that every battery we produce is traceable and that no customer suffers any loss due to manufacturing defects. Through this system, we drive a virtuous cycle of Feedback-Tracing-Improvement, fulfilling our core value of delivering customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, quality control plays a crucial role in enabling us to deliver high-quality products and services that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Western Electrical remains dedicated to developing and implementing effective QC systems, contributing to our long-term success through a deep understanding of their importance, benefits, and key strategies.
From our meticulous quality control processes to our proactive approach to customer satisfaction, every aspect of our QC department is geared towards delivering products of the highest caliber. With a focus on continuous improvement and innovation, we are not just meeting industry benchmarks - we are setting new standards for excellence.
